Volunteers are the beating heart of Sterts, embodying our values and ensuring we can continue to bring creativity and joy to our communities. Whatever your age, skills or experience, and however much time you can spare, we'd love to hear from you.

Volunteer Roles

  • Front of House

    Welcome audiences, check tickets, manage the bar and create a warm experience for every visitor.

  • Technical

    Support lighting, sound and production. Training provided, great if you have an interest in theatre tech.

  • Grounds & Site

    Help maintain our beautiful 4-acre site, paths, gardens and outdoor spaces.

  • Creative Projects

    Assist with community arts projects, workshops, and our funded programmes.

  • Marketing & Media

    Photography, social media, videography: help us share what we do.

  • Bar & Events

    Help run our volunteer-staffed bar, serve audiences and assist at special events and festivals.
