Privacy & More

We recognise the importance of your privacy, and our role in protecting and respecting your information.

We're committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of your personal information, and aim to ensure everything we hold is processed in line with UK GDPR and the Information Commissioner's Office.

What We Do With Your Information

We use your data to process ticket purchases and, with your permission, to tell you about future events and services based on what you've booked before. We use anonymised data to analyse our audiences for reporting to funders, partners and visiting companies, helping us plan future marketing and communications.

We take all reasonable steps to keep your information secure and accurate. We have never sold your information to any other company or individual, and never will, unless required to do so by law. Some third parties who provide services on our behalf (TicketSource, for example) may have access to your data; anyone who does enters into an agreement with us that meets our standards and only uses your information in a way you'd reasonably expect.

You can update your communication preferences at any time. We don't send marketing information to anyone under 16, except for Sterts Future Makers who have given their consent. Your data is held on TicketSource's CRM or on our own central database, which is operated and managed exclusively by Sterts.

Overseas Transfers

We use Mailchimp, a third-party mass email service based in the United States, to send marketing campaigns, reminders and other account-related information. We have binding contracts in place with all our providers regarding the use of your data.

TicketSource

We work with TicketSource to manage our Box Office. TicketSource is the Data Processor acting on our behalf; Sterts remains the Data Controller, and it's Sterts who decides what happens to your personal data. You can find TicketSource's own Customer Data Privacy Policy on their website.

How Long We Hold Your Data

We hold your data for as long as you remain active with Sterts. After 6 years of inactivity, we permanently erase your personal data.

Who Has Access to Your Information

Sterts Arts and Environmental Centre, and its wholly owned subsidiary Sterts Theatre CIC, work directly with a small number of companies and freelancers who process data to support marketing and communications. Strict agreements are in place to ensure it's stored and used safely, and we regularly review our processes. The only company that will ever contact you on our behalf is our Box Office provider, TicketSource. Your data is only used as we instruct, and only retained for as long as it's needed to provide the service you've requested.

No system is ever completely secure, but we take all reasonable and appropriate measures, including keeping our systems up to date with the latest firewall protections, to keep your information as safe as technology allows.

You can change your communication preferences at any time by emailing Email Copied , calling 01579 362382, or writing to us: FAO Box Office, Sterts Arts & Environmental Centre, Upton Cross, Liskeard, Cornwall, PL14 5AZ.
